SPWM-240 Series Description: The MEAN WELL SPWM-240 series is a 240W AC/DC constant voltage LED driver engineered for high-power PWM dimming of LED strips and segmented LED lighting zones. It provides a fixed 3.2kHz high-frequency PWM output for smooth, flicker-free brightness control while maintaining color temperature consistency and uniform brightness across long or multi-zone LED strip installations. SPWM-240 operates from 180 to 305VAC input and supports 255 to 410VDC, with select DA2Q model types offering 176 to 280VDC SELV DC input support for emergency lighting designs that require backup DC power without external drivers. The fanless, fully enclosed, Class II plastic housing cools through free air convection and supports continuous full-load operation at high case temperatures, with typical field efficiency up to 94% and full-load power factor above 0.95 at 230VAC and above 0.92 at 277VAC depending on load conditions. SPWM-240 includes short circuit and overload hiccup auto-recovery, along with over voltage and over temperature protection depending on model type, resetting automatically or by AC power cycle once a fault is cleared. Designed for 24V and 48V LED strip systems, SPWM-240 is ideal for architectural lighting, decorative commercial LED strips, smart LED lighting zones, emergency DC backup LED systems, and DALI-2 based building automation installations where long life reliability, color consistency, and high efficiency power conversion are required.
